5 Week Contracts Course week 1
This course comprises five lectures covering the main aspects of construction contracts. The lectures are delivered by highly experienced and specialist industry professionals and are beneficial for those who want to develop or increase their knowledge on construction contracts. The course is particularly designed and intended for civil engineering graduates aiming to achieve professional qualification (CEng, IEng).

Week 2 Contract Law and Dispute Resolution Tuesday 23rd February 2016

- Common law: The interaction of statute and case law
- Managing a contract: The key legal points to consider at the formation, completion and during a contract.
- Dispute avoidance: How do I resolve a problem before it becomes a dispute?
- Dispute resolution: How do I choose the process and the mechanism? (Dispute boards, adjudication, arbitration, mediation and the courts).
Week 3 Commonly Used Contracts Monday 29th February 2016
